The current collection contains photos taken by the Army Signal Corps of various scenes at West Point. The Army Signal Corps was part of the Communications-Electronics Division. The Communications-Electronics Division provided communications, electronics, audiovisual, and photographic support to the Academy and the Post of West Point. Among its responsibilities were operation of a photographic laboratory, recording studio, and telephone system.
